Welcome to Sunflowers and Scriptures! My name is Lauren, and I am so glad you are here.
You may be wondering where the name Sunflowers and Scriptures came from, and I would love to tell you! First, my favorite flowers are sunflowers. I know technically they are a weed, but I think they are beautiful and it makes me happy to look at them. Second, scriptures is apart of the name because of my love for the word of God. I do my best to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God, and since we learn how to do that from His scriptures, I put together two of my favorite things and made the name Sunflowers and Scriptures.
If you have taken a peek at my blog, you will know that I am a former homeschooler, who is now a homeschool mom herself. While being homeschooled gave me an idea of what homeschooling would be like, since each child is different, I have been faced with many challenges along the way. I am always trying to figure out how to be the best mom and teacher, and I probably will continue to do that until the kids graduate! I would love for you to come along as I figure out what this homeschooling journey looks like for our family!
